“As we prepare for the holidays, many of us ponder the first Christmas when there was no room at the inn for Jesus. My hope this season is that more of us will make room in our hearts and homes for children suffering alone right now. If we do, the world will be better for generations to come, and we will be blessed.”
This past wednesday was a landmark day for children as USAID launched an ‘all government’ action plan to address children in adversity. The plan will address early childhood beginnings and child protection with a focus on evidence based research. USAID reports that 200 million children under 5, greater than 30% of the world’s children, do not to reach their developmental potential in lower and middle income countries. We are excited to watch children benefit from this new plan and approach.
