In many communities, women are often the last to eat. It is common for a woman to have no control or say over her medical care or the medical care of her children. Women often do as much or more labor as men, but have far less access to family income and economic opportunities. To bring justice for women, change has to happen withing the family, within the church and within the community. Channels of Hope for Gender is a program that works with the community, through the church, to increase justice for women. Early outcomes show that coming together as a whole can improve the lives of women and girls within a community.
