Malala Yousafzai Inspires Again

“Why should I wait for someone else? Why should I be looking to the government or the army, that they would help us? Why don’t I raise my voice? Why don’t we speak up for our rights? The girls of [Pakistan’s Swat Valley] spoke up for our rights.” ~Malala Yousafzai

On October 9, 2012, in Pakistan’s Swat Valley, 15 year old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head at point-blank range by a Taliban gunman. She was targeted for her activism for girl’s education and rights, and now, after surviving the attempt on her life, has redoubled her efforts and is the youngest nominee ever for the Nobel Peace Prize.

In last night’s interview with Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show” Malala revealed just what a remarkable and inspiring young woman she is. Part one of the interview is below and you can watch the whole interview at the Daily Show website.
