Protect the Ten Cents for Trafficking Victims Everywhere

The United States currently spends 10 cents to help prevent trafficking, protect victims and prosecute traffickers for every $32 that a human trafficker makes.  That ten cents could be lost as Congress debates the budget next week.  Call Congress and tell them you do not want cuts made at the expense of the most vulnerable.  The fight against human trafficking currently only makes up .003% of the federal budget.  Find the contact information for your Senators and Representatives here.  When you call, you can say the following-

“Hello, my name is ____________ and I’m a constituent from ___________. Last month Congress reauthorized the Trafficking Victims Protection Act.  I’d like to ask Senator/Representative ____________ to support strong funding to fight human trafficking.   I support funding the law at last year’s levels. Thank you.”
