Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo is known as the rape capital of the world. In fact, two out of every five women have suffered from sexual violence and horrifically, the majority of them (65 percent) experienced it as children. World Vision is actively involved in different programs helping victims. Kavira Kambale is one of the many women victims of sexual violence, receiving psycho-social support from World Vision.

On this International Day of the Eliminition of Violence Against Women, let’s stand up together in unity with women who have experienced violence in their life. Let’s pray for women who are experiencing violence today.
