Today! Call, Share, Tweet- 3 steps to let Congress know that slavery is not an issue to play political games with.

Today is the day to join thousands of others who are calling their Senators and asking that they support the reauthorization of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPRA).  This is a bill that passed the House and the Senate unanimously in the years 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2008.  Now they are playing politics and it is up to constituents to say that this bill is more important than political games.  Congress will not act until we do.

Call: Here you can see if your Senator has cosponsored the TVPRA and find simple call scripts.  Call your Senator and tell them you would like them to support the TVPRA (s.1301).  It will take only a minute.  The Senate switch board will connect you automatically: 202.224–3121.

Share: You can share this post with your friends, or tell them to visit On Facebook you can like Women of Vision’s post and share the photo after you call.

Tweet: Here are twitter handles and a suggested tweet for Senators who have cosponsored the TVPRA and those who have not.  Twitter is a great way to let Congress know you are paying attention.

Your voice is the only things that will make Congress listen.  Use your voice today so that a child will not be enslaved tomorrow.
