EVERY CHILD DESERVES THE CHANCE TO LEARN

For many years, the global community’s efforts to improve education in the developing world centered on increasing attendance by providing buildings, materials, and uniforms. While enrollments dramatically improved, access to school did not produce the desired improvement in learning—many children emerged from primary school unable to read or write.

teachers who had not been adequately trained. Further impacting the outcome were cultural biases against educating girls and children with disabilities that prevented many in those groups from accessing school at all.

Today, as part of the global effort to end extreme poverty by 2030, World Vision is expanding its work to help ensure access to a quality education in a safe environment for all children—an education that equips them with the skills and knowledge for life-long learning and a more promising future.

God created every child with potential. Let’s empower every last one to achieve a bright future.
